Timber Creek Football Team Downs Cherokee On Fourth Quarter Touchdown

Devin Leary threw 4 touchdown passes in the win.

Gloucester Township, NJ -- Devin Leary threw the winning touchdown pass to Ezrah Archie in the fourth quarter to lead the Timber Creek Regional High School football team to a 28-21 win over Cherokee, according to nj.com.

The 12-yard connection was the third of the night between the two, and Leary’s fourth touchdown pass of the game.

Leary also threw a 43-yard touchdown pass to Archie in the first quarter, tying the game at 7-7 after Cherokee scored on a 50-yard run by Jon Lovett.

After Cherokee scored twice to take a 21-7 lead, Leary tossed a 26-yard pass to Archie for a touchdown. He also threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Dante Waugh-Hill to tie the game at 21-21 just before halftime.

Neither team scored in the third quarter before the winning score came in the fourth.

Timber Creek hosts Clearview (2-0) on Friday night, Sept. 23, 7 p.m.

Pennsauken 42, Triton 24: Gian Licketto scored on a pair of touchdown runs for Triton, according to nj.com. He scored on runs of 1 and 7 yards.

Alex Thomas also threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Tyrese Dallas, and Dave Burns kicked a 19-yard field goal.

Triton (0-2) hosts Cumberland (0-2) on Friday night, Sept. 23, 7 p.m.

Additionally, Highland fell to Cherry Hill West, 28-8 on Friday night. Highland hosts Moorestown on Friday night, Sept. 23, 7 p.m.
