Timber Creek Football Team Remains Unbeaten; Highland Victorious On Fourth Quarter TD

The school district's teams went 2-1 over the weekend.

Gloucester Township, NJ -- The Black Horse Pike Regional High School football teams went 2-1 over the weekend, according to nj.com.

The Timber Creek Regional High School football team didn’t allow a point in a blowout win over Eastern to remain undefeated on Friday.

Devin Leary and Harold Coleman each accounted for three touchdowns in the Chargers’ 42-0 win over the Vikings.

Leary threw two touchdown passes, including a 19-yarder to Blaine Shade and a 21-yarder to Ezrah Archie, and ran for another, a 1-yarder. Coleman had touchdown runs of 3, 5 and 9 yards.

Timber Creek scored all its points in the first half, and the defense didn’t allow a single point the entire game.
Timber Creek (4-0) hosts Camden (2-2) on Friday night, Oct. 14, 7 p.m.

Brian Cooey threw the game-winning touchdown pass to Juwan Pratt in the fourth quarter to lead the Highland Regional High School football team to a 20-16 win over Buena on Friday.

The 32-yard pass to Pratt was Cooey’s second touchdown pass of the game. He also threw a 20-yard pass to Matt McBride, in the second quarter.

It was Highland’s second score of the game, and Brandon Paradise’s 2-point conversion run cut Buena’s lead to 16-8 heading into halftime.

Highland pulled to within two on a 6-yard run by Jerry Fuller in the third quarter. Highland failed on the 2-point conversion attempt, leaving the score at 16-14 after three quarters and setting up the final second heroics.

Highland (3-1) visits Sterling (0-4) on Friday night, Oct. 14, 7 p.m.

Alec Thomas’s 9-yard touchdown pass to Gian Licckketto accounted for the Triton Regional High School football team’s only score in the Mustangs’ 35-7 loss to Middle Township on Friday night.

Triton (1-3) visits Absegami (3-2) on Friday night, Oct. 14, 7 p.m.
