Timber Creek Football Team Remains Unbeaten With Thanksgiving Win Over Triton

The Timber Creek High School football team’s hopes of an undefeated season remain alive one week before the Chargers play for a South Jersey championship.
Timber Creek defeated Triton, 26-20, on Thanksgiving Day to improve to 11-0, according to nj.com.
It wasn’t easy for Timber Creek, which traded touchdowns with their Black Horse Pike Regional School District rival early on.

Devin Leary hit Cameron Chambers with a 35-yard touchdown pass to put Timber Creek on the board first.
Triton responded with a 7-yard touchdown pass from Jake McGlinchey to Brandon Pagan to cut the lead to 7-6.

Leary hit Chambers again, this time on a 3-yard pass, to increase Timber Creek’s lead to 13-6 at halftime.
Triton scored first in the second half, when Kevin Bucceroni hit Jake McGlinchey with a 14-yard touchdown pass to cut the lead to 13-12.
Shane Pease’s 1-yard touchdown run extended Timber Creek’s lead to 20-12, and Shawn Springs’ 51-yard interception return for a touchdown gave Timber Creek a 26-12 lead.
McGlinchey added a touchdown in the fourth, and Triton converted a two-point attempt to cut the lead to 26-20, but Triton would come no closer.
Triton finished the season 5-5.
Timber Creek meets Shawnee (10-1) in the South Jersey Group IV final next week. The game would’ve been a battle of unbeatens, but Lenape upset Shawnee, 10-7, on Thursday.
