Triton Boys Soccer Team Advances In Playoffs With 2-0 Win Over Cumberland Regional

Gloucester Township, NJ -- The sixth-seeded Triton Regional High School boys soccer team saw goals from two different players and assists from two more players in its 2-0 win over No. 11 Cumberland Regional in the first round of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 playoffs on Monday, according to nj.com.

Chris Antonio and Shane Hartey each scored in the win, with assists coming from Justin Phy and Xavier Wilson. Goalie Nate Clark made three saves in the win.

Triton will visit No. 3 Mainland in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.

Triton was the only Black Horse Pike Regional team to make it out of the first round.

No. 13 Highland fell to No. 4 Cherry Hill West, 5-1. Jack Pisani scored the lone goal for Highland. Goalie Zach Nagel stopped eight shots.

Cherry Hill West will host No. 12 Seneca, which upset No. 5 Absegami in the first round, in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.

No. 16 Timber Creek fell to No. 1 Ocean City, 3-0, despite 11 saves by goalie Dan Martinez.

Ocean City will host No. 8 Hammonton in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.
