“Students, staff, and faculty will come together to honor those that impacted our lives as American citizens,” the Black Horse Pike Regional School District said in its announcement. “Begun in 1968 and believed to be America’s first high school dedicated memorial to recognized alumni who died in service during the Vietnam War, our Memorial Day Service has expanded into an annual community event where faculty, staff, students, veterans, parents, and local government representatives unite in this act of solidarity.”
