Triton, Timber Creek Advance in Field Hockey Tournament
Triton defeated Highland. Timber Creek downed Bridgeton.

Two Black Horse Pike Regional field hockey teams advanced in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group III field hockey tournament on Tuesday.
In a battle of school district teams, Triton shut out Highland, 5-0, in the first round of the tournament, according to nj.com.
Kate Flemming led the way with two goals. Kassidy Kaelin, Kaitlyn Malloy and Kim Whelan each had a goal in the win. Goalie Sarah Wozunk made four saves.

It was the third time this season Triton has beaten Highland. On Sept. 25, Triton defeated Highland, 3-0. On Oct. 21, it was a 1-0 Triton win.
Triton was the No. 7 seed and improved its record to 10-8. It will face No. 2 seed Cumberland (15-1-1) in the second round on Nov. 2.

Highland was the No. 10 seed. It finishes the season with a record of 3-13-1.
Casey Wagner scored three goals to lead Timber Creek to a 3-1 win over Bridgeton, according to nj.com.
Brooke McGinley had an assist. Goalie Zhane Austin made four saves.
Timber Creek scored all three goals in the first half.
Timber Creek was the No. 8 seed, and improved its record to 7-10 with the win. It visits No. 1 seed Ocean City (17-0) in the second round on Nov. 2.
