Utility Worker Killed In Camden Co. Crash Was An Army Vet, Family Man

A vehicle recently hit 4 NJ American Water employees in a work zone, authorities said. A GoFundMe is supporting Kyle Sease's wife and kids.

SICKLERVILLE, NJ — A utility worker who recently died in a crash was an Army veteran who was devoted to his wife and children, according to an online fundraiser supporting Kyle Sease's family.

Last week, a driver struck four New Jersey American Water employees in a work zone on the White Horse Pike, killing one and injuring all three others, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

Authorities haven't disclosed the identities of anyone involved in the crash, which has been under investigation. But support has surged for a GoFundMe that identifies Kyle as the deceased victim.

Kyle, 26, grew up in the Blackwood and Stratford areas, graduating from Sterling High School. He then served in the U.S. Army for several years, medically retiring in 2018.

That year, Kyle joined New Jersey American Water, working as a mechanic until his death, according to the GoFundMe. He is survived by his wife and three children.

"Kyle's big smile and infectious laugh will always be remembered," the GoFundMe says. "He was close to his parents and siblings, and devoted to his wife and three children. He will be missed terribly by everyone who knew him."

Kyle was an Philadelphia sports fanatic, who was especially passionate about the Eagles and Phillies, according to his obituary, shared by Egizi Funeral Home. He also loved barbecuing, DIY projects and spending time at the beach with his family.

"Kyle made a positive impact on everyone's lives and accomplished a lot in his 26 years," his obituary says. "Kyle will truly be missed by all and his legacy will live on through his children."
