New Wawa In Gloucester Township To Open Next Week

Wawa's newest store will hold several promotions on opening day, including free coffee.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The new Wawa store that was recently constructed in Gloucester Township will open Aug. 31, the retailer announced Friday.

The newest store (1340 Blackwood Clementon Rd., Clementon) will hold several opening-day promotions, including free coffee (any size) for all customers. The first 100 patrons will also receive a limited-edition "Wawa Coffee, Hoagies & Kindness" t-shirt while supplies last.

Clementon Wawa will open at 8 a.m. — General Manager William Kerr will lead a countdown that begins 15 minutes prior. Wawa will hold a community toast and ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 p.m. with Wawa mascot Wally Goose, oversized scissors, red ribbon, confetti and fanfare.

Grand-opening festivities will also feature Wawa's signature hoagie-building competition, "Hoagies for Heroes." Local first responders will compete to build the most hoagies in three minutes. Wawa will conclude the competitions by presenting checks for $1,000 to each department's charity of choice.
