Skeeter’s Pub (3 stars). Some sample reviews:

“Stopped in for happy hour on a Friday with my brother. There was a decent amount of regulars inside, but we found a spot at the bar. I ordered a chicken cheese steak off their happy hour menu and upgraded my chips to fries. The food came out promptly and it was perfect! I ordered a jack and coke and it really hit the spot after a long day. I come here a lot at night and am less than impressed, but this was a perfect place to stop to grab a quick drink after work!”

“I've been here a several times and like the options for seating (inside and out) and that you'll see regulars who are friendly and easygoing. Plenty of TV screens to watch any sport on TV is a plus. Staff has been mostly attentive and polite, but sometimes you have to wait to be served even when the bar isn't busy and there is an empty glass in front of you. Food servers are attentive, til you need your dirty plates removed. I find the food about what I would expect at a bar, and wish there were few more healthier options (less deep fried, over-fried and more grilled food). I like the atmosphere and will go back again.”

“Quick lunch break. I ordered a crab cake off of their lunch specials it came with old bay fries. The fries did not have much old bay but were fried perfectly. The crab cake was small but perfect for lunch. Buns were buttered perfectly and the lettuce was crisp. I used the tarter sauce and it was more than I expected. The service was phenomenal. All of the waitresses were attentive and noticed me quickley, I sat at the bar. Keep in mind you pay separately for the bar and food. They bring out ketchup and salt & pepper without being asked. I would like to point out this was the cleanest bottle of ketchup I have ever seen. However after a few more visits, it takes forever to pay the separate tabs why can't I pay for my food and drinks together all at once? This is really annoying. Also the nachos are pretty gross. These are the worse nachos I have had anywhere. Sticking to sandwiches or fried platters is the safe way to go. Overall great place for a quick lunch. Much older crowded however it didnt take away from the atmosphere.”

Skeeter’s Pub is located at 7 Coles Road in the Blackwood section of the township. The phone number is 856-227-2314.

Tilted Kilt (3 stars). Some sample reviews:

“Julia was the most friendly and enthusiastic server that you could ever ask for. The signature sauce wings were fantastic and the queso dip was the best that I've ever eaten. Live music on Fridays and $16 buckets. Enjoy!”

“We stopped into the Tilted Kilt last night for dinner and it was great. Great food, great service. I had the classic mule and it was great, perfectly made. We then had the Scotch eggs and the Guinness steamed clams - also delicious. Great Scotch eggs and I loved the clams - even my dining partner who doesn't like beer or Guinness liked the clams. We then ordered the baby back ribs and the Shepherd's pie, again all delicious. The food was piping hot and the drinks icy cold. Our waitress was also fantastic and we will definitely be back.”

“My second time coming here. My first time experience was not so good, so I figured I'd try again. I must say that the second time was a charm. First I have to give a big thank you to my bartender/waitress working behind the bar Alexis. She was great, she made me feel right at home. I told her what beer I normally drink and she brought me three different types of beers to test off of what i told her. Tried a new beer tonight and it was great. She was very attentive and on point with her customer service skills. I also had the opportunity to meet the manager, Stephen who was also great. He came and had a quick conversation with me and made me feel at home. The food that I ordered came out great and was very good. It was definitely better than my first time experience. I will definitely be back as I am moving to the area and have been looking for a new place to call home. Looking forward to coming here with friends and family.”

Villari’s Lake Side (3 stars). Some sample reviews:

“Excellent food and service. The Italian cuisine was as good as or better than most of the restaurants I have eaten at. The view of the lake out the window added a pleasant complement to the meal. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the sauces were nicely seasoned. All in all, I would definitely eat here again. I liked the look of the outdoor tiki bar next door, although I haven't been there in over fifteen years so I don't totally remember my experience with it, except that it was overall positive.”

“I love this place and I always have. Last nite service was a little slow, people who sat down way after us got bread before us so we had to say something . Their salad dressing is amazing and u can't find it any where else. Their vodka sauce is the best around. Used a groupon and it was so worth it. I will be back soon.”

“Good food. Fun to sit outside for dinner by the lake, but that can get loud on the weekends w/ the bands. They offer great Groupons.”

Villari’s Lakeside is located at 2375 Sicklerville Road. The phone number is 856-228-5244.
