Woman Killed In Crash That Sent Car Into South Jersey Woods: Police

The woman's vehicle veered off the roadway and hit the guardrail in broad daylight, authorities said.

MAURICE RIVER, NJ — A woman was killed in a crash Friday morning that sent her vehicle into the woods in South Jersey, officials said.

Troopers responded to the one-vehicle accident at 11:41 a.m. on Route 347 in Maurice River, Cumberland County. They identified Alice Ferraro, 65, of Millville, as the crash victim, said Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a State Police spokesperson.

Ferraro was driving northbound when her Honda CR-V veered off the roadway to the left, hit the guardrail and entered the woods, according to the preliminary investigation.
