Woman Kills Mother, Herself In Camden Co. Hotel Room: Prosecutor

BROOKLAWN, NJ — A woman killed her mother and then herself inside a Brooklawn hotel room, authorities said Monday.

Brooklawn police responded to the Rodeway Inn at 1:04 p.m. Saturday for a report of a dead woman inside one of its rooms, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office (CCPO). Officials identified her as Dawn Ogburn, 38, of Brooklawn.

Officers then found another dead woman inside the room — identified as Deann Ogburn, 63, of Brooklawn — the CCPO said.

The investigation determined that Dawn Ogburn fatally stabbed Deann Ogburn and then hung herself, authorities said.
