YMCA of GloCo Hosts 'Restaurant Week' at Various Restaurants
Funds to Support First-Ever Annual Campaign
As part of the YMCA of Gloucester County’s first-ever Annual Campaign, the organization has partnered with four area restaurants in Deptford and Woodbury to host “Restaurant Week” on various days from May 18 through 27.
The restaurants involved are: Boston Market in Deptford (May 18 from 4 p.m. until closing); Moe’s in Deptford (May 20 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.); Pizzeria Uno in Deptford (May 21, all day); Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse in Woodbury (May 27 all day). Patrons must bring the restaurant-specific flyer to the restaurant at which they will be dining in order for the proceeds to benefit the YMCA; flyers can be found on the YMCA’s website at www.ymcagloco.org under the Get Involved, Annual Campaign 2015 tab.
The Annual Campaign, themed “Together We Can Do So Much More”, will raise funds for the YMCA’s financial assistance program. In 2014, the YMCA of Gloucester County provided nearly $150,000 in financial assistance for families, individuals, seniors, and youth to ensure that every family had access to life-saving swimming lessons; safe, affordable before- and after-school care; summer camp programs; and sports activities, regardless of their financial situation. In the first week of the campaign this year, the YMCA raised 10 percent of its $65,000 goal.
