2-Week Seatbelt Crackdown Starts Monday in Hackettstown

Annual 'Click It or Ticket' campaign brings extra patrols to town.

Thanks to a substantial grant to add patrol units to the roadways, Hackettstown cops will be looking to crack down on motorists not wearing their seat belts over a two-week period.

The annual Click It or Ticket initiative will be underway on May 18 and run through May 31, and Hackettstown police will be looking for seatbelt violations for both drivers and passengers.

The police department was granted $4,000 for additional patrols, according to the New Jersey Division of Highway Safety, which will result in additional patrol shifts during those two weeks.
