31 Student Athletes Grab All-Academic Honors

Centenary College's sports conference names hundreds to list.

Student-athletes are a thriving part of the Centenary College community, and those enrolled have proved their worth in the classroom, according to the school.

As a member of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), 31 of the college’s student-athletes were named to the 2012 Fall All-Academic honors list.

The CSAC All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a grade point average of 3.2 or higher during their semester of competition, while using a full season of eligibility as determined by the NCAA, the school said.

"Each one of these student-athletes should be commended," said CSAC Commissioner Jennifer Dubow in a press release. "It is great to see that so many have excelled not only athletically, but also academically.  These student-athletes truly demonstrate the NCAA Division-III philosophy of enjoying a full collegiate experience, and they more than deserve this recognition."
