Accident Knocks Out Power, Closes High Street for Hours

Crash shut down roadway between Franklin and Miller streets and caused power outages to hundreds in the neighborhood.

A motor vehicle accident knocked out power and closed a portion of High Street for hours Wednesday.

The one-car accident occurred at about 4 p.m. and closed High Street between Franklin and Miller streets, Sgt. Darren Tynan said. The crash also knocked out power to hundreds of JCP&L customers in the area.

The roadway was expected to be re-opened by midnight.
