WARREN COUNTY, NJ — A Warren County man has been arrested after stabbing somebody multiple times, according to officials.
On May 5, around 1 a.m., police were called to the 300 block of Front Street in Belvidere on reports of an assault.
Authorities discovered a victim with multiple stab wounds to their back, arm, and hand, police said.
Authorities determined that Jacob Carom, 35, of Belvidere, was responsible for the attack, investigators say.
Carom now faces a slew of charges, one of which indicates he attempted to escape police custody during the arrest.
Carom is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, escape, possession of a weapon, and possession of methamphetamine.
He was taken to the Warren County Correctional Center to await court proceedings. If convicted, Carom faces up to 26 years in prison.
Prosecutors did not disclose details on the status of the stabbing victim.
