HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Hackettstown is accepting bids for a state-funded road improvement project on Madison Street, with sealed proposals due by 11 a.m. Thursday, May 28, at the Municipal Building, 215 Stiger St.
The Madison Street Improvement Project Phase I & II, funded through the New Jersey Department of Transportation's FY2024/2025 program, covers Madison Street from Valentine Street to Warren Street. Work includes curb ramp reconstruction, concrete curbing, pavement repairs and asphalt milling and resurfacing.
All work must be completed during the school district's summer break, between June 18 and Aug. 21, 2026. The full contract carries a 60-day completion window; if only the base bid work is awarded, contractors will have 30 days to allow the town to complete alternate pavement resurfacing work within the allowable construction period.

Paper copies are available for a non-refundable $125 fee payable to Colliers Engineering & Design Inc., 53 Frontage Road, Suite 110, Hampton.
The town reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The contract will not be awarded until necessary funds have been secured.
