HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - Hackettstown's annual Memorial Day Parade steps off at 10 a.m. Monday, May 25, at the corner of Grand Avenue and Washington Street. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure parking and seating along the route.
To accommodate the parade, the town will implement temporary road closures and parking restrictions beginning Monday morning.
Road Closures — Effective 9 a.m.
The following roadways will close at 9 a.m.: Route 46 (Main Street) between Liberty Street and Five Corners; Route 182 (Mountain Avenue) between Five Corners and Victoria Lane; Grand Avenue between Madison Street and Main Street; High Street between Main Street and Franklin Street; East Moore Street between Sharp Street and Main Street; East Plane Street between Maple Avenue and Main Street; Washington Street between West Moore Street and Valentine Street; Valentine Street between Main Street and Beatty Street; Madison Street, Church Street, Monroe Street, and Jefferson Street between Grand Avenue and Valentine Street; Water Street; West Moore Street, Church Street, West Plane Street, Center Street, and Warren Street between Washington Street and Main Street; and Little Street and Bells Lane between Washington Street and Route 182.
Police officers will be stationed at key intersections to direct traffic and manage detours. Motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes.
No Parking / Tow-Away Zones — Effective 8 a.m.
The following streets will be designated no-parking tow-away zones beginning at 8 a.m.: Route 46 (Main Street) between Grand Avenue and Warren Street; Liberty Street between Route 46 and Franklin Street; Franklin Street between Route 604 (Willow Grove Street) and Liberty Street; Washington Street between Grand Avenue and Valentine Street; Valentine Street between Route 46 and Beatty Street; Washington Street between Warren Street and Bells Lane; Victoria Lane between Route 182 and Mitchell Road; Bells Lane between Route 182 and Washington Street; and Route 182 (Mountain Avenue) in its entirety.
Vehicles in tow-away zones will be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense. Public parking is available in all municipal lots and along permitted side streets.
