HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - A local Girl Scout troop spent part of their Sunday beautifying one of Hackettstown's public parks — and recreation officials want to make sure they get their flowers.
Members of the troop gathered at Riverfront Park on Seber Road on May 17 to plant a flower garden beneath the Nelson Hoyt Park sign, adding a splash of color to the entrance of the community green space.
Hackettstown Recreation praised the girls for the effort, saying their work was a model of community spirit in action.
" Their hard work, teamwork, and bright smiles brought new life and color to the park — and we couldn’t be prouder," the department said.
