HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — The June 2 primary election is tomorrow, and Patch is helping voters in Hackettstown get ready by breaking down who is on the ballot and what seats are up for grabs.
Polling places are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters unsure of their polling location can use the Polling Place Search tool on the New Jersey Division of Elections website at voter.svrs.nj.gov/polling-place-search.
U.S. Senate
Four Republicans are vying for their party's nomination for U.S. Senate: Richard Tabor (By the People, For the People), Robert S. Lebovics (America First Always), Alex Zdan (Warren County Republican Organization) and Justin Murphy (American Conservative Republican). On the Democratic side, incumbent U.S. Sen. Cory Booker is running unopposed.
U.S. House, 7th Congressional District
Republican Rep. Thomas H. Kean Jr. is running unopposed for the party's nomination. Four Democrats are competing for the chance to challenge him: Michael Roth (Warren Democrat: Results. Reform. Lower Costs.), Brian Varela (Warren County Democratic Party), Tina Shah (ICU Doctor Protecting Healthcare, Defending Rights) and Rebecca Bennett (Navy Pilot. Mom. Democracy Defender.).
Warren County Commissioner
Republican Lori Ciesla is the sole candidate on the GOP side. No Democratic petition was filed for the seat.
Hackettstown Mayor and Council
Republican Gerald DiMaio Jr. is running unopposed for mayor on the GOP ballot. No Democratic petition was filed. For the two open Hackettstown Council seats, Republicans Leonard Kunz and Eric Tynan are running unopposed. No Democratic petitions were filed for council either.
