HACKETTSTOWN, NJ —The Town of Hackettstown has opened a cooling center for residents seeking relief from the extreme heat or dealing with power outages this week.
The cooling center will be available from Tuesday, June 30, through Thursday, July 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Hackettstown Municipal Building, located at 215 West Stiger Street.
The facility is open to Hackettstown residents who have lost power or do not have access to air conditioning.
In addition to providing a cool place to stay, the municipal building will also serve as a charging station for phones, computers, and other electronic devices for those affected by outages.
Residents are encouraged to check for any schedule updates if weather conditions or community needs change.
