Hackettstown To Mark 25 Years Since September 11 Attacks

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Hackettstown residents will gather Friday, September 11, to remember those killed in the terrorist attacks 25 years ago.

The town's September 11 Remembrance Ceremony runs from 8:45 to 10 a.m. at the memorial outside the Municipal Building, 215 West Stiger Street.

The community is invited to honor the lives lost, recognize first responders' courage and reflect on the day. The town said the ceremony will "remember those we lost and honor the heroes of September 11."

Veteran and service organizations serving the Hackettstown area may email press@hackettstown.net by Friday, September 4, to request a place on the agenda.

Tentative closures from 8 to 10 a.m. include West Stiger Street between Route 46, or Main Street, and Beatty Street; Beatty Street between Valentine and West Stiger streets; and Charles Street between West Prospect and West Stiger streets. Closure times may change because of weather. Homes and businesses will remain accessible.
