HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Ready for a spooky stroll through Hackettstown? The Hackettstown Historical Society is bringing back its Lantern Tours & Ghostly Tales, with reservations now open.
According to the society's Facebook announcement, tours are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16, and Saturday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m., beginning at the museum at 106 Church Street.
Reservations can be made by messaging the Hackettstown Historical Society on Facebook, emailing lanterntour@hackettstownhistory.com or leaving a message at 908-852-8797.
Participants should provide their name, email address, phone number and the number of adults and children younger than 12 attending.
Participants should bring their confirmed payment amount in cash on the night of the tour.
The approximately one-mile walk through Hackettstown's historic district features stops highlighting investigated paranormal activity, unusual events and lesser-known local history.
Admission is $12 per person. Children younger than 12 can attend free with a paying adult.
Guests should arrive 10 to 15 minutes early and wear weather-appropriate clothing, including sturdy, comfortable walking shoes.
Lanterns will be provided upon request, but participants are encouraged to bring their own flashlights if possible.
Tours typically last 60 and 90 minutes.
