WARREN COUNTY, NJ — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a car involved in a hit-and-run in Warren County Thursday morning.

Just before 8 a.m., police were called to a hit-and-run car crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Old Hackettstown Road and Puffer Road in Allamuchy Township.

Officials said a white sedan (pictured above) was approaching the intersection when a school bus, with its red flashing lights activated and stop sign arm extended, came to a stop.

Authorities said the sedan did not stop for the school bus and hit a woman who was crossing the road. She suffered "serious, but non-life-threatening injuries" and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, officials added.

The sedan left the scene after crashing into the woman, turning left onto Johnsonburg Road, then left onto County Road 613, police said.

The car is described as a white sedan displaying a Pennsylvania license plate, authorities added.

Anyone with information about the car or driver, or who may have witnessed the incident, is urged to contact New Jersey State Police's Troop "B" Hope Station at 908-459-5098. Anonymous tips are welcome, police say.
