HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Five homes have been named winners of Hackettstown's annual "Spook" the House Halloween decorating contest.
According to a township Facebook post, the winning addresses are 7 Lawrence Drive, 404 West Moore Street, 100 Mountain View Drive, 104 Sixth Street and 401 Willow Grove Street.
Police Sgt. Kris Marinelli, Mayor Jerry DiMaio and Hackettstown Business Improvement District Executive Director Laurie Rapisardi visited the homes Thursday, Oct. 29.
Each winner received BID Bucks, a yard sign, goodies from the Jay Edwards Program on WRNJ Radio and a winner's certificate from the Hackettstown Police Department.
As Patch previously reported, the Hackettstown Police Department, Town of Hackettstown and Hackettstown BID teamed up for the contest, with no registration required.
Judges looked for the most original and spookiest outdoor decorations, selecting one winner from each of five areas: Willow Grove, Centenary, West Valley View/East Prospect, Mitchell Road and College View.
