Belvidere, New Jersey, August 22, 2019 – DSM awarded Belvidere Heritage, Inc., the Princess Helena Heritage Auction Bid-To-Educate & The Wassail Tour sponsorships for Victorian Days 2019. Victorian Days will take place the weekend after Labor Day, September 7 & 8, in the beautiful Garret D. Wall Park, Belvidere, NJ
For many years, Victorian Days has held an auction to raise funds for graduating high school seniors going on to further their education. This year, in addition to three $500 scholarships, Belvidere Heritage along with DSM was please to present a $2,000 STEM scholarship to a student going on to study chemical engineering. Funds from DSM will also support The Wassail Tour which takes place on Saturday, December 7, 2019, following the Belvidere tree lighting ceremony.

Just one year outside of the Victorian Era, Royal DSM was established in 1902. Royal DSM is a global, purpose-led, science-based company active in Nutrition, Health and Sustainable Living. DSM’s purpose is to create brighter lives for all and delivers innovative solutions for human nutrition, animal nutrition, personal care, medical devices, green products and applications. The local Belvidere DSM Nutritional Products site produces various nutritional ingredients and vitamin forms and is partially powered by one of the largest solar fields in the North East.
Victorian Days, a beloved annual festival, was brought back in 2018 by Belvidere Heritage, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit. House tours, porch teas, horse and carriage rides, vintage car show, cemetery tours, civil war reenactments and artisan vendors were all back for the weekend festival. New were a cotillion, kids’ zone, authors’ grove, and plein air art contest. Royal DSM joins Elizabethtown Gas and First Energy Foundation with sponsorships for this year’s event.
