BID Budget, Heating System Up for Approval

Hackettstown governing body set to meet Thursday.

The Hackettstown Mayor and Council plan on approving and moving plenty of funds around at this week’s regular meeting, scheduled for Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m.

On the agenda is potential approval of the Hackettstown Business Improvement District’s 2013 budget, which came in at an estimated $218,000 recently.

The BID’s budget is broken down into two main categories of assessments–income and event revenue. The former is estimated to be $168,000, according to BID Director Jim Sheldon, with event income approximated at $50,000.

According to the governing body’s agenda, a $13,000 approval will be made from the Capital Improvement Fund of this year’s budget for replacement of the municipal building’s heating system.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 13 at the Hackettstown Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend.
