Budget to be Introduced by Council Thursday

At its first meeting of March, the Hackettstown Mayor and Council is scheduled to introduce its 2013 municipal budget to the public.

Along with the introduction of the municipal spending plan, the governing body will adopt the fixing of salaries for certain officers and employees at the meeting, according to its agenda.

Within budgeting matters, the council will look to approve more than $14,000 in pool chemicals for the Recreation Department to use for the community swimming pool this summer.

The meeting is open to the public and begins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14.
