Caught Being Good In Hackettstown? That Could Earn You A 'Ticket'
Children on their best behavior might find themselves "ticketed" by police. Read more about the new program here.
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — No grown-up likes getting a ticket, but for children in Hackettstown getting "ticketed" might be something to look forward to.
Hackettstown police, in partnership with local Quick Cheks, are launching a "positive ticket" program. Children spotted doing something good will be issued a positive ticket.
"No, you don’t need to go to municipal court with your ticket but you will go to any Quick Chek with your $5 ticket and enjoy some great food or drinks," police said.

Police hope the positive tickets will "build relationships of trust" with local children. Other towns, including Florham Park, have similar programs.
