Charity, Hoops to Tip-Off at Centenary Sunday
Jersey Express basketball team to be formally introduced to public.

As sports fans know by looking at the calendar, it’s time for some hoops action.
For locals, now there’s no need to look far, as the American Basketball Association’s Jersey Express will play its home games at Centenary College for the 2012-13 season.
But before the first tip-off comes a kick-off celebration, scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 18 at the college. The extravaganza will include a variety of charitable events, ending in a mini-game at 5:30 p.m.

“This day of charity that Centenary has helped us host is so important not only for us to help those around us, but will start a fundraising effort that will continue on for years to come,” said Arden Wright, Sports Management Student Leader in a statement. “Fundraising for these charities as well as working with the Jersey Express will help us develop key stepping stones and relationships to aid us in the future while we continue to support these different causes."
Centenary College is located on Jefferson Street in Hackettstown.
