Hackettstown Elks Lodge and Knights of Columbus bag groceries to support homeless veterans
With the patriotic spirit of the freedoms we enjoy, the Elks Lodge #2331 of Hackettstown NJ was joined by the local Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Augustus J. Rampone this Independence Day weekend in a charitable cause to benefit homeless veterans.
The group gathered to bag groceries at the ShopRite of Washington while interacting with the shoppers who graciously donated to the cause.
Candida Huber, Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge in Hackettstown, summarized the event stating: “another holiday of generous giving of time by the volunteers spending the day bagging groceries at Shoprite of Washington while receiving generous donations from customers. Days like this reaffirms our belief in community spirit. Thank you to ShopRite of Washington for opening your arms once again!”
