Dominating Division Win Caps Cyclones Season
No. 6 ranked squad now preparing for Division III tournament.

The Centenary Cyclones wrestling squad has been at the top of its game since the start of the season.
The group of grapplers went into their final match Tuesday against King’s College ranked No. 6 in the nation. They wasted no time letting their opponents, and everyone in attendance, know why they’re ranked so high.
On top of four consecutive forfeits by King’s, junior Chris Burdge pinned his opponent just before the end of the first period, which was followed by Hackettstown High School graduate Owen Vernon grabbing a 14-10 decision against his foe, according to the Centenary College Athletic Department.

The King’s College Monarchs were able to notch two decisions at 184 and 197 pounds, but the No. 2 ranked heavyweight Cyclone J.D. Zitone capped the scoring when his opponent bowed out with an injury, the college said.
The team ended its season with an 11-3 record, with a 5-1 division tally. The team will participate in the 2013 NCAA Division III Regional Tournament on March 2 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
