Drivers Charged After Drag Racing In Parking Lot: Hackettstown PD

One person was also doing 'burnouts' and 'donuts,' police said.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - A 23-year-old Chester man and an 18-year-old Pittstown man charged with disorderly conduct after drag racing through the parking lot of Lowe's Home Improvement on Feb. 18, according to the Hackettstown Police Department.

Authorities said officers were dispatched shortly after 5 p.m. after a report was received of two vehicles doing "burnouts," “donuts” and drag racing in the parking lot. The drivers were identified Chester resident [Name Withheld] and Todd Vanpelt of Pittstown, police said.

[Name Withheld] and Vanpelt were each charged with reckless driving and disorderly conduct, police said.
