Smoke Set Off Fire Alarm At Hackettstown Medical Center

There were no injuries, police said.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A burnt out transformer filled the Hackettstown Medical Center radiology department with smoke, setting off fire alarms just before 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Hackettstown police said.

A fire alarm went off at 4:28 p.m., and "when fire department arrived on scene, smoke was visible in the radiology department," Hackettstown Sgt. Darren Tynan said.

There were no flames; the smoke was coming from a burnt-out transformer, Tynan said. The fire department ventilated the area, and there were no injuries.
