Firefighters Battled Blaze At Gun, Uniform Store In Hackettstown

Firefighters put out a Friday morning fire at B&R Uniform.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Local uniform and gun store B&R Uniform caught on fire Friday morning, Hackettstown police said.

The fire broke up around 10:11 a.m., while the business was open, police said. Most of the damage was in the front part of the building, but there was smoke and water damage on the back side and lower level as well.

One employee suffered smoke inhalation, police said, but refused treatment. The store remains closed.

The fire has closed multiple streets Friday morning as firefighters worked to control the blaze, police said. All streets have since reopened, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

B&R Uniform is a family business that sells first responder, nursing, and chef uniforms, their website says. They also sell guns and ammunition.
