Each year thousands of flags are collected at the Post. These Flags and those displayed on the Graves of our Veterans when faded, torn or otherwise unserviceable must be replaced. This Ceremony is your opportunity to dispose of your unserviceable Flags in the proper manner. Flags can be placed in the receptacle at the Legion at any time.
New Flags will be placed on the Graves of all Veterans in Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, onSaturday morning May 17th. Everyone is invited to help with the cemetery flag replacement. It is important that an adult accompanies young children. This is a great way for all to honor our Deceased Veterans. Please meet at the East Ave. Maintenance entrance at 9:00 AM sharp.
