AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dave Dombek said that, while the majority of these storms will not be severe, a few communities could be hit with flooding downpours and strong gusty winds from the upper mid-Atlantic to New York.

Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tuesday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 3am. Patchy fog after 2am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. North wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 60. North wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
