Gun Threat Forced Evacuation Of Hackettstown Senior Housing
The man was taken to a nearby hospital, police said.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A man threatening to put a gun to someone's head forced the evacuation of a Hackettstown senior center on Wednesday, police said.
Around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a man at the Hackettstown Senior Housing threatened another with a gun, and locked himself inside his room police said. The center was evacuated, and the man's room was roped off.
The Warren Country Tactical Team got inside the apartment, and didn't find any weapons, police said. The man, who police described as "emotionally disturbed," was taken to Hackettstown Medical center.

Residents were allowed back in their rooms by 3:15 p.m.
The Hackettstown Fire Department, Hackettstown Rescue Squad, Warren County Communication Command Center, Independence Twp. Police Department and the Hackettstown Department of Public Works all assisted.
