Hackettstown Community Day Is Saturday. Here's What to Know
The celebration runs noon to 8 p.m. at Arthur Sheldon Recreation Pool Field, with eating contests, talent competition and more.
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - Hackettstown Community Day returns Saturday, running noon to 8 p.m. at Arthur Sheldon Recreation Pool Field on Warren Street at Hackettstown High School, with a rain date of Sunday.
This year's celebration carries a country fair theme honoring America's 250th anniversary and the FIFA World Cup kickoff.
Residents can sign up on the organizers' website for several contests and events, including a "Hackettstown's Got Talent" competition, a Chicken Wing Thing Eating Contest sponsored by Marley's Gotham Grill at 1 p.m. ($10), a Dog Day Afternoon Hot Dog Eating Contest also by Marley's at 3 p.m. ($10), and Dancing with the Local Stars, with tickets available for $10. An Apple Pie and Homemade Jam Contest will also be held, with entries dropped off at the fair.
