The Hackettstown community came together once again for the annual Duck Race held at Alumni Field on Saturday, May 10th. This family-friendly fun day was enjoyed by young and old. Everyone enjoyed book reading & hand painting, mask & jewelry making, face painting, Tic-Tac-Duck, Chuck-A-Duck, Rubber Ducky Chess, Duck Match, a petting zoo by High View Farms and entertainment by the Hackettstown High School Marching Band
Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the activities and watch the race. Those who came, even if they didn’t win a prize, were able to take a duck home. There are some orphan ducks so look for them in the coming weeks to be adopted!
With the help of the Hackettstown High School Key Club Volunteers and Boy Scout Troop #158, as well as the Hackettstown Foundation for Educational Excellence Committee members, the race helped raise funds for the Foundation’s grant program.
