Hackettstown Firefighters Save Kitten From Burning Home

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ— Hackettstown firefighters rescued a cat from a burning building Friday morning, Hackettstown Police said in a statement.

The fire department and rescue squad responded to a home fire on Morgan Terrace around 11:20 a.m. The fire was on the second floor, and house had fire and water damage throughout.

There were no injuries reported, including to the kitten. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Assisting at the scene was the Hackettstown Detective Bureau, Hackettstown Fire Police, Hackettstown Department Of Public Works, Hackettstown Building Inspector, Warren County Fire Marshal, Mt Olive Twp Fire Marshal, Washington Boro Fire Department, Tri County Fire Company, Mansfield Twp Rescue Squad, Independence Twp Fire Department, Budd Lake Fire Department, JCP&L and American Red Cross.
