Hackettstown Puts 8 Municipal Jobs Out to Bid

All contracts exceed $17,500, requiring solicitation of proposals.

The Hackettstown Mayor and Council have put eight municipal positions out to bid with a request for proposals for professional services due to the town by Dec. 19.

Under state law, the town is required to put the positions out to bid publicly as contracts awarded for jobs each exceed $17,500.

Proposals must be received by the Hackettstown Town Clerk on Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. at the Hackettstown Municipal Building.

The eight positions being solicited are:

  • Town Auditor
  • Tax Appraiser
  • Tax Counsel
  • Town Planner
  • Planning Board Planner
  • Zoning Board Planner
  • Planning Board Engineer
  • Zoning Board Engineer 

“The Town of Hackettstown shall review the responses to the request for qualifications and appoint or award a contract to a business entity for the goods or services advertised subsequent to such review,” the request states.
