Hackettstown Regional Medical Center Honored as 'Top Performer on Key Quality Measures'
The Joint Commission says the hospital earned kudos for its work with heart attacks, pneumonia and surgery.

Hackettstown Regional Medical Center on Wednesday was named Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, an accreditor of U.S. health-care organizations, according to a commission statement.
HRMC was recognized by for exemplary performance in using evidence-based clinical processes shown to improve care for certain conditions.
The hospital is one of 1,099 hospitals in the U.S. that earned the distinction for attaining and sustaining excellence in measuring accountability in delivered care. HRMC was recognized for its achievement in treating heart attack and pneumonia, and for its surgical care. Ratings are based on an aggregated data from 2012.

“HRMC is proud to receive the distinction of being a Joint Commission Top Performer,” said Jason Coe, the Hackettstown hospital's president. “We understand that what matters most to our patients is safe, quality care. HRMC has made a commitment to accreditation and to positive patient outcomes through exceptional care processes.”
“Hackettstown Regional Medical Center and all the Top Performer hospitals have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to quality improvement and they should be proud of their achievement,” said Dr. Mark R. Chassin, president and chief executive officer of The Joint Commission. “We have much to celebrate this year. Nearly half of our accredited hospitals have attained or nearly attained the Top Performer distinction.
