Hackettstown Youth Basketball Registration Opens September 21

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Families can begin signing up children for Hackettstown’s 2026-27 recreation basketball season later this month.

Online registration will be open from Monday, September 21, through Friday, October 30, according to a new town announcement and official program flyer.

The program is open to boys and girls in grades one through eight. Children in first and second grades will participate in clinics at Hatchery Hill School, while third- and fourth-graders will play games there.

Games for fifth- and sixth-graders will be held at Allamuchy School. Seventh- and eighth-grade games will take place at Great Meadows Middle School.

Registration costs $15 for Hackettstown residents. The fee rises to $50 for registrations submitted after Sunday, November 1. Families can register through the town’s online recreation catalog.

Practices are expected to begin in mid-November, followed by clinics and games in mid-December. The season is scheduled to continue through mid-March.

The flyer also says “volunteer coaches needed” for the upcoming season. Anyone interested in helping or seeking additional information can call the Recreation Department at 908-852-4095 or email recreation@hackettstown.net.
