Police Catch Hit-And-Run Driver In Hackettstown (Update)

Police were hoping someone recognized this Chevy Silverado.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - The driver of a Chevy Silverado being sought for their role in a hit-and-run crash last Friday has been found, according to the Hackettstown Police.

According to authorities, the crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on Friday on Route 57 in front of the Scrub-A-Dub car wash, 18 Route 57. The Chevy Silverado then fled the scene and traveled West on Route 57, police said.

The vehicle was described as a newer model 4-door Chevy Silverado, tinted windows, running boards, with a Harley Davidson sticker on the rear windshield and above that sticker was a motorcycle sticker, police said. See the photos attached to this post.

Police put out an alert asking for help finding the driver Tuesday morning and by Tuesday afternoon announced they had found the driver.
