Kids Free to See Centenary Hoops Fight Cancer

Take a Kid to the Game Day Saturday at local college.

Wintertime with no snow on the ground can be tough with a house full of kids. There isn’t much to do except get cabin fever.

On Saturday, Feb. 2, however, the Centenary College Cyclones are offering families the chance to get out of the house and have a great time with the kids.

The Centenary College athletic department will host its annual “Take a Kid to the Game” day for a double-header basketball game at the John M. Reeves Student Recreation Center.

Children under 14 are free, and will receive free gifts in addition to being part of a team meet-and-greet with autograph opportunities.

In addition to the festivities, the women’s basketball team will wear pink to raise awareness for the battle against breast cancer at 1 p.m. as they take on Cabrini College. When the men’s team takes the court to play against Rosemont College at 3 p.m., fans are asked to wear orange in support of the Coaches vs. Cancer game.
