Lustig Dance Theatre professional company offers
performances of high artistic quality imbued with virtuosity,

ways by celebrating new works and preserving modern masterpieces.


JANGALA

Monkeys jumping on trampolines, a cunning tigress, and a herd
of buffalos in hard hats. Not what you would expect to see during a
ballet performance. But, LustigDance Theatre isn’t interested in doing
the expected. Artistic Director Graham Lustig has found his niche in
the dance world: weaving storytelling and ballet into dynamic dance
theatre pieces. In his new work, “Jangala”, classical Indian dance
meets ballet in an urban jungle to re-tell the familiar stories found
in Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book”.

Torch is an exploration of modern torch songs by contemporary
song writers, including: James Blunt, Amy Winehouse, Regina Spektor,
Melody Gardot and Andrew Belle. Torch, choreographed by Lustig,
is a full-company dance reflecting the urban experience of young
individuals seeking, finding, and sometimes losing, loving
relationships. The songs are performed live by a vocalist and guitarist.
