Man Killed After Accident On Busy North Jersey Highway, Reports Say

The pedestrian was attempting to cross the highway when he was hit by a vehicle, according to reports.

WARREN COUNTY, NJ — A Warren County man is dead after being hit by a vehicle on a busy highway, according to reports.

On Friday, around 7 a.m., a man was hit by a car while crossing Route 22 east, near Roseberry Street in Phillipsburg, according to a report by lehighvalleylive.com.

The man, identified as 40-year-old Mark Madsen of Phillipsburg, was later pronounced dead, according to an NJ.com report.

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with police, reports added. It’s not clear what kind of vehicle was involved, and no criminal charges have been announced at this time.
