Man Sought in Mansfield Bank Robbery

White male said he had gun while robbing PNC Bank Tuesday morning, police report.

Police are searching for a man who robbed the PNC Bank on Route 57 in Mansfield Township Tuesday morning.

Lt. Michael Reilly said at 10:43 a.m. police responded to the bank for a robbery in progress. Upon patrol’s arrival, the robber had fled, Reilly said.

Bank employees told police the robber indicated he had a firearm, but did not show a weapon, Reilly said. He then left the bank on foot in the direction of Gold’s Gym and Home Depot, Reilly said.

The robber is being described as a white male, 5-foot-8, 180 pounds in his late 20s with a faint beard. He was wearing sunglasses at the time, sneakers, a black jacket, blue jeans, and a black Puma baseball hat.

Reilly said a suspicious vehicle was also in the area at the time of the robbery. It is described as a black BMW 328i with dark-tinted windows and no license plate.
