Man Stabbed In The Chest By Neighbor: Hackettstown Police

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - A 34-year-old Hackettstown woman is in jail after stabbing a neighbor in the chest Friday, according to the Hackettstown Police Department.

According to authorities, Valentina Zukowski, 34, is facing aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
charges for an incident that occured just before midnight on the 200 block of West Baldwin Street.

Police said they responded to a report of a dispute and the investigation revealed that Zukowski and a man were arguing in an upstairs apartment when a 30-year-old and a 27-year-old woman went to the apartment. Zukowski stabbed the 30-year-old man in the chest and wounded the 27-year-old female's hand, police said.

The 30-year-old suffered serious injuries and was flown to Morristown Medical Center and the 27-year-old suffered a minor injury and was transported to Hackettstown Medical Center, police said.

Zukowski was jailed in the Warren County Correctional Facility. The incident remains under
investigation and additional charges are pending, police said. Assisting at the scene was Hackettstown Rescue Squad, Mansfield Township Rescue Squad, Saint Clare’s Paramedics, and the Independence Township Police.
